Skyeskyns Tannery Tour

Enjoy a free guided of Scotland’s only traditional exhibition sheepskin tannery. Visitors to Skyeskyns are transported back in time to witness how real sheepskins are made using time honoured methods of leather making — one of the oldest crafts known to man.

Browse our showroom for beautiful sheepskin, woollen and leather goods and relax in the seasonal pop-up café YURTEA&Coffee for delicious Skye-roasted coffee and home baking.

Find us: From the A850 between Dunvegan and Portree, take the turnoff for Waternish onto the B886 (signposted for Waternish and Skyeskyns).  Follow the road for three miles to a T-junction. Turn right at the junction, following the Skyeskyns signs and the Skyeskyns car park is straight ahead.
