Cindie Reiter has drawn and painted all her life. She attended Heatherley College of Art, in London in her early 20s, she moved to Scotland 30 years ago and worked as a landscape artist for many years . In the last few years she has run a small gallery, exhibited extensively across the Highlands of Scotland, and completed a Certificate in Botanic Art from RBGE (Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh).
Cindie paints in a variety of different mediums, including oils, watercolours and acrylics. She is inspired by the landscape, nature and ecology of the Scottish Highlands, and tries to capture the colours of the seasons and the amazing light which changes so rapidly and which is so stunningly beautiful. She is also drawn to the more unusual views of her home, the villages and the people, who live, survive and thrive in what is a dramatic and challenging landscape.
